Anxiety is an incredibly common concern amongst us bipeds. In fact, in the early days of humankind, it was an important tool our brains used to keep us alive (think: lion = RUN!).

While the majority of us no longer face those same dangers on a daily basis, our brains are now reacting to dangers that are more imagined than real. So, how do we very graciously thank our anxiety for protecting our ancestors throughout history and for protecting us from some of the legitimate dangers we may have faced? I’m going to show you how on today’s episode.

Anxiety is an exhausting life-stealer. It can feel like a wall between you, the people you love, and the life you want to live, but it doesn’t have to be that way. I’ll explain the science of anxiety and what’s happening in your brain when you feel that rush of tension in your body and I’ll teach you simple, actionable, practical tools to shift both body and mind using science-based cognitive behavioral thought work.

What You’ll Learn:

  • How I think about anxiety now that I can address it in a loving and productive way.
  • What anxiety is and the role it played in human evolution.
  • How to use our minds to reduce our unnecessary anxieties.
  • The very important science behind anxiety.
  • How gut health can impact our anxiety levels.
  • Why changing your diet should be one of the first actions you take when addressing anxiety.
  • Actionable tools you can use when anxiety comes up.
  • How many of us kill proverbial kittens every day, all day long.
  • How using a touchstone can help you become more mindful of your anxiety.
